What does this tell you about the characters?
When watching this sequence there is no dialog, I believe this is telling the audience that the characters are waiting for the same thing. The theme is set in the west which makes it a cowboy film, from watching these genre of films before the characters don't normally speak alot.

Why is there no dialog?
This sequence contains no dialog because its creating tension and mystery, it makes the audience wonder whats going to happen next and ask questions about the film to there self. The director has done this to make the film more interesting.
